We have taken our interactive dashboard monitoring the approach of the US "fiscal cliff" offline. http://hastheusgoneoffthefiscalcliff.com hosted a webcam in the Quartz office, pointed at a whiteboard wall, that was updated every five minutes. All the headlines and quotes we taped to the wall were clickable links on the page. We counted down to the end of the year--the fiscal cliff deadline--and kept it up to date with the state of negotiations, the promises and threats, and the wise and foolish things said by all and sundry. Shortly after the US went over the fiscal cliff, Congress and President Obama approved a deal that retains some tax breaks and postpones spending cuts for two months.
