Colony Capers by Scotty Lynn was recorded on a private label in the early 50's,and as far as I know was never publicly released on any major labels. He was an organist and piano player at a local hotel nightclub here in the city. He and my aunt were friends and he gave her this record. My aunt also on occasion would sing at this nighclub. I played this very record and many others at her apartment, when I was just a kid. The apartment was on the 7th floor high on a hill overlooking the city. I would watch the traffic and planes landing and taking off at the airport. Needless to say this record brings back a lot of memories for me. It is played on an RCA 1957 Hi-fi that I just got restored back to operating condition last week. It was in very rough condition when I purchased it at the flea market for 4.00. It had weather exposure, Changer was frozen up and needed cleaning oiling and adjusting. The cabinet needed partial refinishing, and the amplifier needed new capacitors. It is not mint but at least it was salvaged and is a vintage record player in full operation again
