Love it or hate it, Windows 10 is here- and much-improved over the Windows 8/8.1 fiasco- especially in GUI / Desktop /Start Menu.

The most common question coming from my clients is "Where is Internet Explorer." Windows 10 has the all-new EDGE Browser- and there's a learning curve. To boot- many enterprise and legacy Active-X Controls will not function but only in IE 11. At some point, companies should be re-coding their sites to comply with more modern browsers.

While working with Edge, one can still use Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 10. Typically, it is not on the desktop by default. This video walks one thru the steps for creating a simple short-cut. (Yes- I am sure you already know this... many do not, however.)

While support for Window 7 ends January 14, 2020 - Windows 7 and 8 Versions will at some point be updated to the Edge Browser, as Internet Explorer is inevitably retired. As of 9.6.15, MS has not updated their End of Life info at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/gp/microsoft-internet-explorer.
