In this video Jay Nicholas of Caddisflyshop.com demonstrates how to tie a Damsel Fly Nymph. The Rainbow Bead Damsel uses a new Multihued Rainbow fly tying bead from Hareline Dubbin. In addition Jay uses a new Stonfo Elite Bobbin. The bobbin allows the fly tier to adjust the thread tension leaving the bobbin with great control and ease. The Rainbow Bead Damsel was born out of a steelhead fishery on the Columbia River. Steelhead feed on Damsel Fly nymphs as they migrate up through the edges of the slacken water of the Columbia River.
