Parts of Northern Britain woke up to a dusting of snow this morning on one of the coldest October weekends in ten years. It is expected to warm up over the weekend but it will still be a frosty start on Sunday. Temperatures in Guisborough, North Yorkshire, (bottom left) hovered around zero over Friday night and people in Consett, in County Durham, (right) also woke up to find snow on Saturday morning. Driving conditions have been affected across higher areas (top left) and motorists have been advised to plan journeys ahead of time.
