Megan was just 16 when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, a cancer that develops in the lymphatic system. At such a young age, she didn't know anyone else who had been through cancer. She felt alone, and upset that her life had to be put on hold. Megan's friends made sure they kept in touch with her, putting aside days in the week to go for dinner or cheer her up. this meant Megan knew that she wasn't going to face cancer alone and she was surrounded by people who loved her.
