Captain Dave invited me to join him for a jaunt from Glenrothes airfield in Fife, up the A9 to Dunkeld, Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. Saturday 6th December was as clear and crisp a day as you could hope foe, and with blizzards having dumped on the mountains in the days previous, a Winter Wonderland was going to be the scene. The star of the show is Schiehallion with Ben Nevis, some 50 miles behind very prominent. Also visible are the Cairgorn mountain range.
