Israeli settlers urge PM to resign after WBank violence

(13 Dec 2018) Hundreds of Israelis, fuelled by rage over this week's wave of violent attacks in the West Bank, held a protest in Jerusalem on Thursday evening, chanting and calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resign. Earlier Thursday, a Palestinian gunman got out of a car and opened fire at a bus stop outside a West Bank settlement killing two Israeli soldiers before speeding away. Thursday's bloodshed extended a violent week that began with a shooting outside a West Bank settlement on Sunday, resulting in the death of a baby, who was delivered prematurely following the weekend attack. Netanyahu has ordered a number of security measures in the West Bank in response to Thursday's shooting attack. He also ordered additional security on roadways and increased checkpoints.
