PBR seems to be the way forward and Blender Evee is not holding back as it is shooting shots in various directions and making tons of progress, from real-time rendering of static objects, animation, lights, camera motion and even cached data, not excluding simulations , hair and other FX. In todays video we go through a quick review of blender's Evee performance with Alembic caches, this alpha version of blender evee still has some works tho, but has held up real nice, in both performance and quality.
