Yep. Why!? My whole reason for traveling in the first place, is to experience culture. I have learned that the further you get away from the 'tourist spots', the more authentic that culture is. So, I traveled off of the beaten path, a bit, and went to a slum. Sure, it's only on the outskirts of the city/town of Puerto Princesa - but it made a world of difference. Over the next couple of weeks, I will show you bits and piece of my journey as I was inside this slum/squatters area.
