'Toby Show' at McCaskey East High School

A drawling, red-headed country bumpkin has helped create a family out of a group of local high school students. And those students are eager to share that bumpkin's adventures with lots of other families next week on the McCaskey East High School stage. The carrot-topped rube in question is Toby, a traditional folk character borrowed from early 20th-century traveling theatrical shows and transplanted into a modern, fractured fairy tale. "A Toby Show: Not Your Average Cinderella Story" is the very first main-stage offering of the Eyes on East Players, the new McCaskey Campus Children's Theatre Outreach Program troupe that's based in the high school's East building.
