Factions uprising against their lieges are a lot more common then they are in my own kingdom as the AI seem to keep less control of them, that or I just tend to notice when the really powerful factions rise up. Of all the factions I tend to see they generally fall into three categories: either trying to depose the current ruler so that they can put someone else in charge, lowering crown authority or trying to change succession to elective. Sometimes there are other factions but they are quite rare in my experience.

That said, sometimes it's a tricky choice to decide if you want to help your allies deal with their own civil wars. There's the consideration of your own kingdoms stability and what might happen if you lost a lot of your own personal levies to the fighting or if you sour your reputation with your vassals by using their levies too long. My kingdom is not as big as I'd like it to be and if I were the size of the Holy Roman Empire I wouldn't have a problem with going off to help my allies fight wars to defend themselves. As it stands, I need to be more careful. Perhaps I am a little too careful but when it comes to your kingly territory I don't think such a term exists.
