Researcher at the University "La Sapienza" in Rome on networking and environmental monitoring. In 2002 he founded the WLAB and is currently coordinating the PLEASED European project, developing a technology to use plants as bio-sensors. In 2012 he founded WSENSE, a spin-off of the Sapienza focalized on monitoring technologies. A DIY (Do-It-Yourself) lover but even and perhaps even more a DIT (Do-It-Together) one. We can dream a new future and the technology can be the device to have a new perspective to build it, but the unique possibility to reach success is the cooperation with different kind of experts in different fields in a stimulating environment : with the feet on the ground and the head into the clouds.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
