I wrote Set Fire to the Rain about those times when you're up against impossible odds. Some things really are impossible and it's best not to fight mother nature. This isn't a cover of Adele - Set Fire to the Rain it's a song I wrote just so there's no confusion

Set Fire to the Rain Chords
Chords Bm A G Em F#7 and D A Bm G E7

Set Fire to the Rain Lyrics
I tried to set fire to the rain
It didn't work
The water put out the flame
Now I feel like a jerk
Holding a candle what a scandal
Out in the front yard
Life can be so hard

Water always beats fire
Rock always beats scissors
Scissors can cut through wire
Nobody can beat a wizard

So why did I hold my candle up to the sky?

And try to set fire to the rain
It didn't work
The water put out the flame
Now I feel like a jerk
Holding a candle what a scandal
Out in the front yard
Life can be so hard

Salt dries tears
3 of a kind beats a pair
Rainbows defeat fear
Bad guys don't play fair

So why did I hold my candle up to the sky?

And try to set fire to the rain
It didn't work
The water put out the flame
Now I feel like a jerk
Holding a candle what a scandal
Out in the front yard
Life can be so hard

I'll let the wick dry
And relight the candle
I'll never bring it outside
That was stupid
