This week the land probe committee interviewed witnesses from Kapeeka in Nakaseke District. The suspected land grabber was pinned for subjecting the witnesses to torture and illegal detention on claims that they are trespassing on his land. Swaibu Yiga, who purports to be a landlord of six villages, is accused of grabbing over 1000 acres of land in Balatira, Manywa, Senda, Naluvule, Mizimbo and Nzingu villages.
