December 10 - Last November, the High Court found the KwaZulu-Natal Education department liable for not paying the bursaries of students studying to become teachers. It was given three weeks to pay its debts but missed the deadline. Hundreds of its vehicles have been attached for failing to pay millions of rand to a private higher education institution.
