with the latest update, it is possible to use Amiibos trained on the Wii U version in this version if you have a New 3DS. i have a JP New 3DS with the JP version of SSB4 but this update also allows you to send replays, snapshots and Mii Fighters to people in your friend list. what i did was send the replay of the match to my US version in my regular 3DS with capture card and recorded the replay from that since there's no capture cards for New 3DS yet.
