A long time ago, when I was still studying piano, I asked my teacher if she could give me anything by Scott Joplin. I loved (and still do) ragtime music and you can't say rag without thinking of Joplin. She gave me, among famous pieces like Maple Leaf Rag and The Entertainer, this song. It was quite different from what I was used to, this was a slow waltz but with a reminiscent of the rag that Joplin was known for. Of course, I loved it. Later on I learned that what I had was a simpler and shorter arrangement, and the piece was way longer than what I had. Still, that was what I learned back then, and that is what I know now. So this is a shorter version of the original piece, but still, a nice sounding song.
