Goa police will now start motorcycle patrolling on North Goa beaches to strengthen coastal beach security. Superintendent of police had requested Goa Coastal Zone Management authority to allow motorcycles on beach for patrolling purpose. GCZMA has decided to grant permission to use motorcycles for patrolling on north Goa beaches. GCZMA has also set clauses that, while patrolling turtle nesting sites, sand dunes, sand vegetation should not disturbed.

Similarly no motor cycle patrolling has been allowed at Morjim beach as the said beach has been identified under turtle nesting site.

It will also help Goa police to keep vigil against the tourist who are drinking on Goan beaches.
