(This was written by Matt Clifford) Strayed Outta Compton is the pilot episode of the Happens In 3’s web series.  

As of now, there are six scripted episodes, each very contained and micro-budget oriented. 

The premise of the series revolves around three married couples (the husbands work together) who just seem to fail at life every time they get together for even the simplest of gatherings. 

Strayed Outta Compton (a Lake Charles Film Festival nominee for best short script, Hollywood Blvd Film Festival winner for Best Comedy Short Film and Semi-Finalist at the Hollywood Screenings Film Festival) has these couples meeting up for an evening of wine and cheese, but, ultimately, they end up watching a dvd of Straight Outta Compton. Over the course of the evening (and their viewing of the film) their attitude, demeanor, and language drastically changes. 

Another script in the series, Bad News Pairs, has these couples being court mandated to group therapy after they crash a child's birthday party in the park. This entire episode takes place in the therapist's office. This script has been nominated, and has won, several festival awards, including the Grand Prize at the Web Series Festival Global, Best Short Script at the Hollywood Blvd Film Festival and the Canadian Diversity Film Festival, Best Unproduced MicroBudget Script at the Monkey Bread Tree Film Awards (yes, that's an actual festival), was nominated for Best Short Script at the Chandler International Film Festival, South Carolina Underground Film Festival, Glendale International Film Festival, The Monthly Film Festival (UK), was Runner-Up at the Brightside Tavern Film Festival, and was a Semi-Finalist at the Los Angeles CineFest. 

The other scripts in the series all throw these couples into small, problematic adventures and, of course, they never learn their lesson. The script Office Pace has them trying to piece together what happened at the company party a week earlier. 

The Hateful Ate (also a Semi-Finalist at the Los Angeles CineFest, and Best Short Script winner at the Road House Film Festival) revolves around them having a little too much to drink while gathered around a dining room table.

Sixth Sense & Sensibility has date night for one couple spoiled by a book club meeting and rumors of infidelity. 

Apeulogy has the guys at work, attempting to deliver a few kind words for an employee, Tracy, who has recently passed away. Unfortunately, none of them know who Tracy is, let alone if Tracy is a man or a woman. 

I'm currently writing another script for the series, Groan Ups, which revolves around the three couples doing a little community service as they help to transform a former crack house into a local community garden.
