(1 Nov 2018) BRITISH ROYALS RECEIVE HONOUR GUARD WELCOME IN GAMBIA Britain's Prince Charles is visiting Gambia for the first time since the African country rejoined the Commonwealth. Gambian President Adama Barrow led a welcome ceremony for the British royal in Banjul on Thursday. The Prince spoke at the ceremony and said the two countries could "once again work together to defend our shared Commonwealth values". Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, arrived in Gambia on Wednesday to begin a three-day visit.
