Joshua Guzman, an Industrial engineer presents his research on the importance of Energy sources. He takes his audience back to the first industrial revolution and navigates with them to our days, just to recreate the evolution and social economic development the energy source has brought to communities as remote as Dominican Republic and Haiti.
There is a lot more to do in order to provide every place around the world with a source of energy.


Joshua R. Guzmán is an Industrial Engineer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2013, he also has a master degree in Service, Leadership and Innovation from the Rochester Insititute of Technology (RIT). He is currently the Quality Assurance Manager at PUCMM, where he works to ensure the implementation of high quality standards on processes and the effective measurement of the Institutional Key Performance Indicators. In this position, he has worked to create the first institutional dashboard of quality standards using new tools of Big Data as Microsoft Power Bi with the objective to increase the value of information and to improve the decision-making process in the University. Also, Mr. Guzmán is professor at PUCMM of the subjects Decision Theory, Operation Management and Statistics. As a professor in the PUCMM, he has worked with his students in class to discuss and develop innovative ideas that could impact the society.
