In the summer of 2018, BD Athlete Joe Grant traveled to Japan and raced in the Mt. Hiei International Trail Run. As Joe explains in this article, the 50-miler pays homage to Japan’s marathon monks, and with its intense elevation gain and climate, the race also brings the heat, literally and figuratively.
