The Youtube App for the Nintendo Switch is finally here, and we have to ask the question of why? A lot of Smart TV's are equipped with this feature, however, there are two things that make this app inferior(Unless you own an iPhone 10R, and you're limited to 720p)
1) The maximum resolution on the Youtube App is 1080p(Even Undocked, a 1080p option is available even though the Switch screen is only 720p)
2) 30 FPS, this is a big deal with some games, as the motions will look blurry and choppy. Huge dealbreaker in FPS games, and even some fighting games.

We even show the 4K/60 FPS capabilities of the PC, and 1440p/60 on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. There is no reason the Youtube App should be incapable of 60 FPS, so hopefully this is fixed in a future update.

If you've used Apple TV/SmartTV/NVIDIA SHIELD TV in the past, the interface is the same. It does support Touch which is much faster than using the controller.

Now that Youtube is on the Switch, will more streaming apps like Vudu, Redbox, WWE Network, Netflix, or even Spotify show up for use?

If you have your Nintendo Switch connected via Elgato, Avermedia, or other Game Capture Devices, you will get the following message:

Connected content cannot be displayed.
Your TV or monitor may not support HDCP.
If your TV or monitor does not support HDCP, make sure the power is turned on and try again.
If you are currently using an HDMI switch(or other similiar devices), connecting to the Nintendo Switch console directly to your TV or monitor may fix the problem.

This is the same issue the Playstation 4 has with MOVIES, but was allowed for games after a firmware update. This is good so you can't pirate movies, full shows, copyrighted material, so I'm OK with that(Just use a PC and screen record if you have this)

I don't own Youtube Premium as I feel it's a waste of money.
