Galileo FOC-M8 satellites: Galileo SAT 23 (Tara), Galileo SAT 24 (Samuel), Galileo SAT 25 (Anna), Galileo SAT 26 (Ellen) were successfully deployed, after being launched by an Ariane 5 ES launch vehicle (Ariane Flight VA244) from Ariane Launch Complex No. 3 (ELA 3) at Guiana Space Centre in Kourou, French Guiana, on 25 July 2018, at 11:25 UTC (08:25 local time). Galileo is Europe’s own global navigation satellite system, providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. The next Galileo satellites will be launched by Ariane 6 A62 version during a timeframe between December 2020 and June 2021.
