Day 2 of our 7N cruise out of Genoa. Today, the ship was supposed to dock in Civitavecchia, but due to bad weather, the Captain decided to dock in Naples instead. Very interesting twist of events! It also caused plenty of disruption for passengers, because there were passengers who would be boarding and disembarking at Civitavecchia. #MSCMeraviglia In this video, we walk through the Galleria Meraviglia. You can see the Speciality Restaurants (Kaito and Butcher's Cut) on Deck 7, overlooking the Plaza. I also check out the chocolate shop, by Jean Philippe Chocolate, with chocolate taps running! The Chocolate Octopus looked cool, so did the chocolate shoe. There were Macarons too. ------------------------ We sail on the MSC Meraviglia, the flagship of the MSC fleet! When launched in July 2017, the MSC Merviglia (at 172,000 GT) was the fourth largest cruise ship in the world, only behind the 3 Oasis-class vessels owned by Royal Caribbean). Meraviglia, in Italain, connotes a feeling of wonder, astonishment and amazement. The ship has Galleria Meraviglia, a 300ft central promenande filled with boutiques, restaurants, and also used for entertainment. It comes with a 5,200 sq feet LED dome - an atmospheric digital sky that animates the Galleria Meraviglia with inspiring sunrises, sunsets, mosiacs, shows and starry night skies.
