- Student exited at 5000ft for hop-and-pop. He was falling stable and after 5-6 seconds pitched main PC. - Opening, or better said "extraction of the bag from the container", lasted a little longer then he was used to. He thought that he has total (?) and just pulled reserve handle. - From the ground we saw a clean reserve deployment. Someone said: "Where is the main?" and at that moment we saw main deployment bag falling behind jumper. - Main PC pulled and opened the d-bag and main inflated. It went into biplane then side-by-side and then into downplane. - At that moment I thought and somebody shouted "Cutaway!" but student did not do it. Two canopies flew very unstable and continued to go from one configuration to another each couple of seconds. We immediately knew that this is not going to end well so ambulance was called. - Just as we thought he is going to end well, at about 30 feet two canopies went into downplane and we saw jumper hit the ground in that configuration. - Car was already near him and we found jumper lying on his back almost uninjured, pumped up on adrenaline in slight pain and talkative.
