This was the b-side to Marty's big 1959 hit, "Bad Boy" (a song Marty himself wrote). But "It's Been Nice" has an impressive pedigree of its own. It was written by the prolific duo, Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman and was later recorded by Freddy Cannon and The Everly Brothers. Some think that this may have originally been intended as the a-side.
