- Islam is a religion of Justice, and Justice can only fully be found with the Ahlul Bayt
- The Just rule of Ali as Caliph
- Ali's reputation for fairness with all
- The Umayyid philosophy had an end goal, the Shia philosophy has the means to the goal
- Forward-thinking rules of battle laid out by the Prophet during battle; at a time when rights were not something valued
- The incident of Hind eating the liver of Hamza, the uncle of the Prophet
- The Prophet's treatment and rules regarding prisoners of war, unheard of at the time, even until recent history
- Comparisons to today's treatment of prisoners (Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo)
- At a time where literacy was scarce, the Prophet saw the value in knowing how to read and write. He had prisoners teach people in exchange for freedom
- In the religion of Muhammad, we learn to read and write even from the enemies [prisoners], while under the Deen of the Companions, the Taliban enforce restrictions against girls studying
- The Taliban shut down girls schools, forbidding basic education. When girls fall ill they are told they can only visit female doctors, noone else. When you don't let them study, where will these female doctors come from?
- During the most sacred day of the week, Friday, in the most sacred place, Masjid, during the most sacred time of day, Juma Salaat, terrorists are detonating explosives killing innocent Muslims.
- When Non-Muslims ask about the situation in Afghanistan and the Taliban, I tell them don't look at this poor example of 'Islam' there. Rather look across the border, where there are more female enrollments in university than men. This is the Maqtab of the Ahlul Bayt, while that is the Maqtab of the Sahaba.
