It was after midnight, the fireman still working tirelessly to watch the fire from spreading again. City dwellers stop by and have a short view on the shop where most of them had patronize this shop where the owner is very friendly and soft spoken person. The surrounding was quite as it like a great monument was destroyed by fire.

One of the on looker, who live nearby at Taman Fortuner question the method of the fire extinguish by the fireman. The ideal way is to use the foam to control the fire and not with open water as what has being seen. She worried that the water that was used to control the fire can contribute the toxic fume and smokes that affecting the people surrounding area. Bear in mind that the shop that was burned was filled with tire and battery and other sort of unknown chemical that can affect people health.

Nevertheless, kudos to the fireman good work controlling the fire tirelessly to control the fire. Though, there are some part that the fireman can improve as the supply of the material such as the foam chemical should not be ran out as this is only a small fire broke out. How when it was a big industrial factory or silo? The government should make sure our fire department is well equipped to handle many variation of fire and their action time can be swifter.

UPDATE: It was made known that using water to extinguish a tire fire is often a futile effort, because an adequate water supply is usually unavailable. Also, water sprayed on burning tires cools them down, producing an oily run-off which can contaminate nearby surface and groundwater.
