Growing means entering an area where you have not been before and learning and experiencing new things about yourself and the world. That's always scary. People do not like change. Growing does not go without resistance and obstacles. And not without conflict. Janneke Stegeman was born in 1980 in Woudenberg. She studied Theology at the Free University.
In 2014, she graduated with the dissertation 'Decolonizing Jeremiah: Identity, Narratives and Power in Religious Tradition', about the role of conflict in the development of religious tradition.
Janneke works as a theologian at The New Love, a debate center in Amsterdam. She is one of the founders of GENOT, the Society for Immoral Theology. In 2016 she was named Theologian of Fatherland.
