Recently, Narendra Modi led central government launched the Ayushman Bharat Scheme claiming that it is the largest health insurance scheme in the world. Dr Amit Sengupta, convener of the People’s Health Movement, says that this is not the largest healthcare scheme of India let alone the world. According to him, the real issue is that this scheme will not be able to achieve the tall claims it is making.
