One of the white lionesses is relaxing in the bright sunlight of an October day. The lionesses all have names, but I am used to thinking of them more by description because in the past most zoos did not let visitors know the animals' names. This lioness is almost nineteen years old, and many years ago, when my son was little, he called her "pointy head". So that's how I think of her. I love her pointy head!
