Some of the meter gauge railway lines in Switzerland have automatic coupling mechanisms where the coupler locks into place by its own mechanism.

This video is taken at Meiringen railway station in Central Switzerland located on the Zentralbahn (running between Luzern and Interlaken), which is also a part of the Golden Pass Panoramic Line. At this station the regular Inter Regio service changes direction so another locomotive has to take over. So you can see the locomotive (a class HGe 4/4 II) coming and attaching itself to the train. I stopped the video abruptly because then I had to run back to my coach as well.

This was taken in May 2013 and there are some more videos to come as well.

Hope you enjoy!
