An unholy robbery led to two arrests Friday.

Someone broke into Holy Rosary Catholic Church overnight and stole some valuable artifacts, including chalices, cups and communion bowls.

"I can't believe it. If it was money, well OK, but to steal something like this to sell it to a junkyard? Somebody really was not normal," the Rev. Joe Vicentini told KMBC's Peggy Breit. Police had asked local scrap metal businesses to be on alert. Within a few hours, a worker at Wabash Iron and Metal saw a bag full of religious items and called 911.

Two men were arrested while trying to run away.
