The Aer Lingus European Sales Team hosted a Hartford Connecticut inbound Sales mission in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Commerce. Over 25 delegates flew on Aer Lingus direct service from Bradley International into Dublin led by Congressman Joe Courtney, Anne Evans (U.S. Dept. of Commerce), Sharon Traficante (Bradley International) and Scott Gilmartin (CAA Board). In addition, Reece Smyth (U.S. Embassy Charge D’Affaires) along with Finola Cunningham (US Head of Commercial) came along to the event to show their support. The Irish Travel Trade partners got an opportunity to network and learn about the key attractions that Connecticut has on offer. Such as Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, The Mark Twain Museum and the Ivy League Yale University to name just a few. Guests also got an opportunity to get a ‘Taste of Connecticut’ with the lunch menu themed to showcase local culinary delights and sample local wines and beers. To conclude the event Aer Lingus gave two lucky winners two pairs of tickets on Aer Lingus direct service to Bradley International themed with accommodation and attractions courtesy of Connecticut tourism.
