The Young Rich Ruler and Zacchaeus were in similar position of ruling, having wealth and both came to Jesus.

Young Rich Ruler walked away sad rejecting the call of God because Jesus asked him to sell his possessions and to give the money to the poor.  Had he listened to Jesus, he would have received more in return because it would shown stewardship that he can handle more.

Zacchaeus who was also Rich did not allow his height, his money, or the fact that he was stealing from people as a Tax Collector to stop him from running to Jesus. Zack had to back up from EVERYBODY until he could judge the direction of Jesus.

Once he seen where Jesus was headed, he positioned himself ahead and climbed a tree. When Jesus came to him he called him down. Zacchaeus gave everyone half of all he owned and also paid back 4Fold everything he stolen in Repentance. Jesus said this day you have Salvation.
