World Health Day is observed today across the globe. Keeping in view the increasing number of hypertension cases across the world, the World Health Organisation has based the theme this year to create awareness against this chronic medical condition. The silent killer is a major challenge in developing countries like India where one out of every 10 deaths due to medical conditions is because of hypertension. Centre and Health Ministry have undertaken immense measures to check hypertension and is working out a comprehensive strategy to tackle it.
