State Cuts Hitting Summer School Sessions

KMBC's Bev Chapman talks to Missouri school districts looking at changes to their summer school programs as a result of state budget cuts. The Missouri General Assembly in the waning hours of the session this week found a way to keep summer school funding at last year's levels. If not, the Liberty School District was planning to charge $300 a student for summer school classes. About 4,000 attended last year's sessions. The Lee's Summit School District won't provide as much transportation for students due to falling property tax revenues.
