16-year-old folk singer and songwriter Hayley Reardon has committed herself to using her voice to incite positive change in schools. As the Peer Spokesperson for PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center, Hayley has spent the last three years traveling the country, speaking to students and singing through her performance program Find Your Voice. Named a 2012 "Bostonian of the Year" by The Boston Globe, Hayley released her first album entitled, "Where the Artists Go" in October 2012. Her poised and inspirational talk at TEDxBeaconStreet shows why the Globe says she's "helping to pen the next chapter of the Boston folk scene." In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
