Whiplash ~ A Tale About a Snowboarding Fail ~

Here is a video about how I got whiplash during my spring break of 2013 up at Copper Mountain, Colorado (my last official spring break might I add). It went like this: I was going down this path on the mountain. I decided to take a familiar route that crosses into the trees beyond the normal mountain slope path. Now I had done this path through this particular area hundreds of times before and this would be the first time I had ever crashed in there. I guess I had my feet in an awkward position at just the right moment for my snowboard to catch enough of an edge that pretty much nearly stopped me dead in my place. I hit the ground WITH MY HEAD so hard that my GoPro managed to come right off my helmet. Thank God I was wearing that helmet too because if I hadn't, I most likely would've gone unconscious from the impact and I wouldn't have been surprised if I had gotten a concussion. What's more crazy is that I didn't start wearing a helmet while I snowboarded until THAT VERY WEEK! Afterwards, my neck muscles were incredibly stiff, but I wasn't going to let that ruin the rest of my week so I kept on shredding. The way I saw it, if I hadn't come back home with some sort of injury, than I wasn't going hard enough! Anyway, the video by itself wasn't all that interesting so I decided to spruce it up a bit and add some cartoon sound effects, some happy sunny music (since it was a cloudy dreary day, one that I recall not being one of my better shredding days that week) and some commentary by the Heavy Weapons Guy from Team Fortress 2.
