2-year-old girl dies after being found inside car in Crittenden

CRITTENDEN, Ky. (WKRC) - A 2-year-old girl died after being found unresponsive in a car in Crittenden Saturday evening.

Police were called for an unresponsive child found in a Mercury Grand Marquis on Big Bear Circle around 6 p.m., according to Kentucky State Police Trooper Charles Loudermilk.

Kentucky State Police and Crittenden EMS both arrived on the scene and the girl was given CPR.

She was then taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

KSP hasn't released any information on how the girl got into the car. The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is scheduled.
