FDA Minister Vishwajit Rane has reiterated his stand on fish import ban. Vishwajit has stated that there would be no compromises in the guidelines set on import of fish with any amount of pressure. Rane has rejected the appeal from Sindhudurg MLA Deepak Kesarkar requesting 2 months time for FDA license formalities. Meanwhile, Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao along with boat owners have welcomed governments stand on fish import ban. Targeting leader of fish traders Ibrahim, Churchill has demanded to arrest Ibrahim to solve the formalin issue. Churchill has stated that Digambar Kamat has introduced Ibrahim in the business and is now repenting on it. Churchill has also demanded to include boat owners in wholesale market committee.
