I apologize for the advertisement above. This is a cute little duet from the title of the first film that these two legendary entertainers starred in. It also marked Gene Kelly's movie debut - Judy Garland spotted him in a play and got MGM to cast him in the picture, and Kelly always said that Garland put his mind at ease and helped put an end to his performance gitters. "For Me And My Gal" (1942) was followed by "The Pirate" (1948) and "Summer Stock" (1950), their third and last collaberation. Around that time, Judy's personal problems had begun to surface and she was often physically and emotionally exhausted and sometimes missed days of production. While shooting their second film as a team, Gene realized one particular day that Judy was in no condition to work, so he feigned a fall so she could be sent home to rest. These two had a very unique chemistry and energy onscreen, and of course they looked great together! Happy viewing!
