I'm a children's author who also enjoys creating videos for my family friendly variety channel. Olvera Street is the oldest street in Los Angeles, a historical landmark. In this video, you'll see colorful remembrance altars for a Dia de los Muertos special event. Altars are built and decorated to honor loved ones. Some of the altars include personal mementos, candles, photographs, flowers, sugar skulls, fruit, and more. Olvera Street's quaint cobblestone marketplace is lined with vendors, offering Mexican wares. Mariachi music wafts through the narrow street. Day of the Dead, Dia de Los Muertos is celebrated on Nov. 1st. Thanks for watching! Have a great day! Learn more about Maria at http://www.mariacisnerostoth.com/
