This is the final chapter. I take the appropriate course of action and immediately shoot Sonia with the bow. This is a sort of easter egg that triggers a game over because YOU JUST KILLED RYU'S FUTURE WIFE! 8:12 - Fiend Genshin - Yep, even Genshin gets a revive. Fiend Genshin is his strongest version, incorporating teleportation into his regular moveset. He can chain overhead teleports into flaming kunai tosses, Flying Swallows, or a helm splitter attack. He can also chain his charge up attack into a flurry of blows you can't escape, essentially Genshin's version of a UT. He can also chain an uppercut from one of his combos into his Underworld Drop, his own version of the Izuna Drop. We...don't get to see these moves. Fiend Genshin is still Genshin and I still have the level 4 Dragon Sword so...he's still piss easy. 11:00 - Elizabet 2 - Next is Elizabet. We're automatically equipped with the story upgraded level 4 Dual Swords. Level 4 Dual Swords are awesome, and allow you to use Genshin's Underworld Drop, but...I don't recommend them for Elizabet. I tried and it did not go well. Something with more range just seems so much more ideal for Elizabet. So I end up switching to the Scythe in my second attempt. Elizabet is way more aggressive and has access to more combos, but if you're not keeping on her she'll resort to spamming her blood spears over and over which can be annoying. She also has a new attack where she causes a circle to appear below you. If you're caught in it, she'll teleport to you and immediately grab you. The Scythe was about as effective against Elizabet as the Staff was, so I still took some punishment but did eventually win the war of attrition which is how Elizabet's battles tend to go. After that we'll reach the very last Muramasa statue in the game, so get healed up and buy all the healing items you can, cuz otherwise all that Essence you've stockpiled for no reason will go to a complete waste. 22:59 - Dagra Dai - This guy is like the most forgettable boss in this game. I swear I forget he exists every time I come back to it. That being said, he's sort of formidable. Dagra Dai will occasionally use his tentacles to elevate himself out of your reach and spam magic, both by having it erupt from below you and fire energy beams at you. His real danger comes from how quickly he chains his attacks into grabs or suddenly change to a ranged lightning attack that homes in on you. It makes it really hard to predict. 28:08 - Vazdah - This is the Archfiend we've heard so much about. He's a total gimmick boss fight, one we can only damage by hitting him with the bow. It's not hard at all, just fire at him in between attacks and he'll expose his glowing sphere center, which you can shoot for even more damage. His attacks involve vomiting blood at you, firing a laser, and I actually think that's it. During the fight, he'll start to climb up so you have to give chase to continue the fight. 35:33 - Archfiend Vazdah - This is Vazdah's true form. He's much more impressive in this form sure, but he's actually not that hard of a boss. We still have plenty of healing items and I only even used one against the guy. The Dual Swords excel at bosses that don't move much, so they can quite literally shred him to great effect. I ended up killing him before even seeing half of his moves. He starts the fight hanging off the cliff and fighting you eye to eye, where he can spam fire eruptions from below, laser beams, claw swipes, or attempt to grab you which you can avoid easily by sticking a bit to his left or right and dodging appropriately. That's...all I got to see him do before draining his HP low enough to trigger the OT to finish him. He's supposed to have this whole phase where he'll get on his feet onto the platform and start stomping around but if you damage him before he gets a chance you can OT him in his first phase and end it there, which I did. One nice thing to note is that the OT on Vazdah is the most elaborate in the game and it's unique for every single weapon in the game. And with his defeat, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is officially done. This is one of my favorite games of all time. I like NGS1 just fine but this one is just so much smoother and feels more like it's your fault when you screw up rather than the game being cheap. Granted there are still a few times like that, but it's far and few. And while some bosses may drive me up the wall like Zedonius, I still enjoyed fighting them. The challenge is great while not being ridiculously hard. Maybe I'll give Master Ninja a go sometime, if only to give me an excuse to keep playing this game some more. But I'll play NG3: Razor's Edge before I do that. While it's a huge step down from NGS2, I still enjoy NG3 overall. I might get around to recording that sooner than I expected, who knows? Anyways, thanks for watching.
