Tennis Serve Lesson | 4 Factors for Easy Serve Points and Holds

If You find yourself losing more points than you should during your service games, there's a good chance that you have just become too predictable.

Most rec players fall in love with 1 or 2 of their serves and just hit those exact same serves over and over again.

The problem is, eventually your opponent figures it out and starts pounding the return. It's as if he knows exactly what is coming, and is prepared to put you on the defensive from the beginning of the point.

In order to combat this, you have to understand the 4 factors that you have to play with when you serve:

1. Where you stand- Most players pick a spot and stay there. Instead, try changing the location of where you stand. This does two things: 1. Tells the opponent that you're actually THINKING! 2. Changes the angle that the ball is getting to them.

2. Power- Again, most players want to hit the ball as hard as they can every time. But if you can successfully change speeds on your serves, you can disrupt his/her rhythm.

3. Placement- You have 3 options... T, Into the body, and out wide. Mix these up continuously. Never become predictable.

4. Spin- You have 4 options here: Kick, Twist, Slice, and Flat. Each of the different spins will change your opponents strike zone... making it very hard for them to get into a rhythm against you.

With these 4 factors that are an INFINITE number of ways to approach a single serve.

Start playing with them today to gain an unfair advantage over your opponent.
