Sarah-May Philo, from Glasgow, lightened the mood in the operating room during her own brain surgery by singing opera classic Ave Maria and making up funny songs about people around her. Doctors successfully removed 85 per cent of the tumour and, after recovering in hospital and having chemotherapy, Ms Philo has returned to work.
