Pretty sure this tip works for all iOS versions 

But here are the steps to fix this 
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.hold the power button and the home button on the same time and keep hold of it for 20 secs
2.let go of the power button and keep hold of the home button for an other 20 secs 
3.then turn it back on with the same process but you don't have to let go of anything 
4.the apple icon should pop up as you would restart your phone .
5. Celebrate that your phone is okay
