Jim Allen discusses his motivation for creating a 'complete sensory experience'. Allen's sculptures Small worlds, Tribute to Hone Tuwhare, and Space plane, environment no. 1 (all 1969) are key examples of New Zealand post-object art. The works are on show in Te Papa's contemporary art exhibition, Collecting Contemporary, from 11 February 2012.
